Excel table in Civil3D 發佈日期：8 March 2010

首先，沒有更新一段日子，除了我懶惰之外，主要是我想不到題。近日有關 Civil 3D 的技術問題少了很多，大家想知什麼的話，不紡留言給我。

轉入正題，上個月上課時有學生問及 Civil 3D 和 Excel 的 Dynamic linkage，是否可以把 Excel Table 放到 DWG 中，並會和 Excel table 內的數據同時更新？

早在 AutoCAD 2008 左右就有這個 Function，只是鮮有學生問及，這是有關的方法:-
1. 在 Command box 輸入 “INSERTOBJ” 指令
2. 選擇 “從檔案建立”, 選取 Excel table
3. 由 Browser 中選取有關的 Excel 檔案
4. 選擇 “連結”
5. 按 “確定” 完成

Windows 7 發佈日期：29 December 2009

Multiple XREF in 2010 發佈日期：25 July 2009

由於 2010 version 可以 xref 不同 format 的檔案 (如 DGN)，XREF manager 不能一次過把多張 dwg drawing xref., 有點不便。

若大家真的希望一次過 xref 多個 DWG 檔, 可以用 CLASSICXREF command.

Middle button cannot PAN 發佈日期：1 July 2009

在 AUTOCAD 的 FAQ 中，滑鼠的 Middle Button 不能 PAN drawing 一向都係十大之列。

在 AutoCAD/Civil 3D 中，滑鼠的 Middle Button 的 default setting 本來就是 PAN, 對按下去就可以 PAN。為什麼有個別的 AUTOCAD 有問題?

1. MBUTTONPAN - AutoCAD 內有百多個 settings, MBUTTONPAN 就是控制，滑鼠的 Middle button。在 Command prompt 輸入 Mbuttonpan，並把它改回 <1>

2. AutoSTROLL - 有些mouse driver 會 disable 這個AutoSTROLL, 回到 windows control panel，把 AutoSTROLL enable

3. MOUSE Driver - 我發現有些 MOUSE driver 會把 Middle button 的 windows default setting 改動，另 AutoCAD 的 default settings失效。香港人好喜歡的 LOGITECH Driver, 就係原区之一，只要把它 uninstall

如果三招都不成，在下都冇能為力，reinstall AutoCAD 看看罷…..

近日多做 Civil 3D Consultants 的工作，加上 2010 的新版面，令我有必要地把所有 Function 再 review 一次，不知不覺，又發現一個有用的 Function - Superimposed Profile

一般我們要比較 Road Centerline 和 Road Kerb 的 profile 時，都會遇到 Chainage 的問題。由於 offset alignment 時會影響點於點在 centerline 時的相對距離，大家得難在同一個profile view 下比較同一 Chainage 的 Level Difference.

來這裡參觀的，相信都是經驗老到的 AutoCAD 用戶，不免有自已一套繪圖的手法，久而久之，不會花太多時間在 AutoCAD drafting 的新 function 上花工夫，這當然包括我自己 haha…..

上星期花了一天看 AutoCAD 的 Virtual Book，才發現有得多有趣的 drafting function 可以和大家分享一下。

Batch Plot Multiple Section Views 發佈日期：19 December 2008

近日政府真係大力推機建，每個月都有幾億新工程，做 Training 都做到冇晒自已時間，真係要找多個人幫幫手….

昨天晚上做了一課 Batch Plot multiple section view 的 Training, 看上來對大家都會有用，可以把多個 Section views 一次過自動放到 Paperspace，也可以做 Batch Plot。

1. 先建立 Multiple Section Views
2. 利用 “MAPWSPACE” 打開 Map Engine 的 Function
3. 打開 “MapBook” 的一頁
4. 利用 Mapbook icon –> Create new map book
5. 在 “Source” 選 “Model space”, 並輸入 “Mapbook name”
6. 在 Sheet template 選 default 有的 “Mapbook_Template_ISOA3.dwt”
7. 在 Title Scheme 選 “By Area”, 在”Layer”輸入 “Map_Grid”, Overlapping “0%”
8. 按 “Select Area to Tile”, 並把 “Section View” Selected
9. Preview the Tiles, 同時 Fine Tune “Select Area to Tile”
10. Fine Tune “Name Scheme” <-幫助日後找容易回某一個 Section View
11. 在 Key 及 Legend 選 "None"
12. 按 "Generate" 建立
