近日多做 Civil 3D Consultants 的工作，加上 2010 的新版面，令我有必要地把所有 Function 再 review 一次，不知不覺，又發現一個有用的 Function - Superimposed Profile

一般我們要比較 Road Centerline 和 Road Kerb 的 profile 時，都會遇到 Chainage 的問題 。由於 offset alignment 時會影響點於點在 centerline 時的相對距離，大家得難在同一個profile view 下比較同一 Chainage 的 Level Difference.

Superimposed profile 會做一個 Profile projection, 把Kerb alignment 的 profile project 及 overlay 到 centerline alignment 的profile 中，另用戶可以在同一個 profile view 中比較 Level difference.

圖中是 左、中、右，三條 alignment 及其profile(上、中、下)，細心看，不難發現左右profile有向前及後的 shift:-

利用 superimposed profile 把上邊(左邊的 alignment) 的 profile 放到中間:-

不難完成這個結果:

當然，再把玩小小 Civil 3D profile view 的技術，就可以把 kerb profile 用 Centerline的 Chainage plot 出來….

Superimposed Profile 係我少教的 function, 所謂「書到用時方恨少」，靈活運用，superimposed profile 可以做很多的事。
